How to Activate a 3G iPhone with Exchange Activesync

Apple’s iPhone 3G (or a first generation iPhone or iPod touch with the 2.0 software update) allows for full synchronization of your Exchange contacts, calendars, and email. Following are step-by-step instructions on configuring for Exchange:

1. Click on Settings
2. Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3. Click Add Account…
4. Click Microsoft Exchange
5. Enter the following information, then click Save
   – Preferred Email address – Username: DomainUsername
   – Password: Password
   – Description: Exchange
6. Click Next, Enter in the server name; example: mail.domain.com
7. Click Next, Click Save
8. Click Exchange
9. Click ON to synchronize your Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
